Private Kocaeli Hospital Newborn Intensive Care Unit offers the required care to all the babies in need of intensive care. Our unit, furnished with modern knowledge and equipment, provides families with the required support, education and information sensitively and meticulously.

"Breastfeeding and care education" is provided for OUR MOTHERS by our experienced health professionals sensitively. Babies who are considered ready are taken in the earliest time possible to “kangaroo care” and their "skin-to-skin contact with their mothers” is provided, by which baby-mother relationship is strongly supported.  

In our Intensive Care Unit there are;

  • Transcutaneous Bilirubin Meter (Detection of Jaundice form the Skin)
  • Tunnel and Led Phototherapy Machines
  • Hearing Test and ABR
  • 7 Breathing Devices (1 with high frequency)
  • 3 Isolation Rooms
  • Total of 21 Incubators.

In order to prevent hospital infections, our unite has its own; 

  • Ultrasonography Device
  • Echocardiography, EKG Device
  • Blood Gas Device
  • Portable X-ray Machine

For our Premature Babies our unit has;

  • Surfactant Application
  • ROP (Retinopathy of Prematurity) Examination
  • New Born Circumcision
  • Percutaneous Catheter Applications (Vascular Access through the Thin Veins in the Arm and Leg)
  • Total Parenteral Nutrition (Total Nutrition Using Vascular Access)
  • Thorax Tube Placement (Treatment of Lung Air Leak)
  • Pediatric Cardiology Specialist
  • 24 Hour Nonstop Service of " pediatrician"  

In our unit, for the babies in the Intensive Care and newborn babies within the first 28 days no charge is required.
